ABOUT ME
The Beginning
I was born on a March morning in New Orleans, Louisiana. The date and time of my birth presented me to this life as a Triple Pisces (moon, sun and ascending planet in Pisces), making me an empath, highly intuitive, extremely sensitive and spiritual in nature.
The Ancestors
On my mother’s side, my roots extend down to the state of Michoacán in Mexico, an area rich in pre-Columbian history and tales of great nations. Many stories were told to me of the grandmothers who were healers, of visits from those who had passed over, connection to the earth, communicating with the animal kingdom, and of “special” places in the land where no one dared to venture. My ancestors from this side were a very earthy, tranquil and centered people.
On my father’s side, the family hailed from the Deep South (Mississippi), a mixture of Irish-English-Scottish heritage. These ancestors were a very spiritual people and worked what is now known as folk magic. I was especially close to my paternal grandmother, whose sparkling blue Irish eyes charmed many a man in her small town. Despite a hard life, she never lost the fire and passion for living life to the fullest. She bestowed much unconditional love on us as children.
From the Bayous of Louisiana to Northern California
I believe that it was no accident that I was raised in a city rich in cultural diversity, mystery, magic, romance, spirit and energy! My childhood consisted of existing side-by-side with the often-dark spirit world – imaginary friends, speaking with insects, haunted rooms, psychic attacks, playing in the bayou – this all became the norm for me. Yet throughout my life I feel I have been protected and watched over.
My journey has been a long one, leading me across the nation to Northern California. Having studied several major religions, as well as many spiritual traditions, circling with Goddess worshippers and participating in Voodoo rituals (both Haitian and Afro-Cuban), I consider myself to be “eclectic”, combining many elements of various world paths and traditions. I am able to walk between the worlds of corporate business and ancient traditions. As an avid student of the occult, my connection to the spiritual is as necessary to me as a breath of air.
Heeding the Call of Spirit
Traveling along my path, I delved into divination: studying the Runes, cowry shells, palm reading and Tarot. My true gifts became apparent while using the Tarot - it became my passion and I treat what flows from my readings with reverence. My readings are empowering and always provide hope and options. I have earned the distinction of Certified Tarot Reader by the Tarot Certification Board of America.
I work together with my spirit guide, Marie Laveau, the well-known Creole woman of New Orleans famous for her occult powers. Marie was also an excellent business-woman, a feat not easily attained in the 1800s for a free woman of color. She, too, walked between the worlds.
